Housing Resources
In Cornwall there is a housing crisis. Many Methodist chapels and churches will know of many people who are looking and struggling to find adequate accommodation. Look below at resources which may help to support you when helping people search for accommodation. The street link is the facility that needs to be used if you are aware of anyone that is homeless. St Petroc's is our local Cornish charity with specific expertise and knowledge, please see the link below. It's important fro anyone facing homelessness to apply for Council provision as soon as possible, so that they are on the waiting list- please see the flowchart below which describes the process. For any questions or further information please contact Helen Pearce our Social Justice Officer on: socialjustice@cornwallmethodists.org.uk.
Please also look at https://housingjustice.org.uk/ - which is an excellent charity and supports organisation's such as churches, to navigate their way through the use and development of buildings and land. There are many good examples, which may inspire.
