Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Methodist District is committed to safeguarding as an integral part of its life and ministry. Safeguarding is about the action the Church takes to promote a safer culture. This means we will; promote the welfare of children, young people and adults; work to prevent abuse from occurring and seek to protect and respond well to those that have been abused.

Coronavirus Safeguarding Considerations

To support you with getting out the safeguarding message to volunteers Waltham Forest have made a short video. It is 3 mins long and gives a simple message of

  • if you see something say something,

  • that as volunteers you have a safeguarding role,

  • flags that some people may volunteer for the wrong reason and

  • tells volunteers we want them to be safe too
