Good to be Back

It’s good to be back! After a full-on year being the President of the Methodist Conference, which has been an incredible honour and privilege, I am back in the District. It is wonderful! Having a month’s Sabbatical, which has given me time to pray and relax with my Laura, and occasionally seeing my three daughters, I feel spiritually renewed, rested and ready to serve. I am deeply grateful to all who have worked so hard during my time away. The three Deputy Chairs, Revds Carole Holmes, Mark Pengelly and Danny Reed, our Synod Secretary, Simon Clarke, my amazing PA, Alison Gill and John Hogarth, who acted as President’s Assistant during the year. Of course, also thanks to all of you for your prayer support. As St Paul says in Philippians “I thank God every time I think of you, whenever I pray for you all, my prayers are always joyful” (1 verse 3 & 4).
